THE COURSE "There is an approximate elevation climb of 130 feet in the first mile with a downhill return in mile 2 before climbing “the Pike’s Peak of Leavenworth” with a 155’ ascent and descent of the “Peak”. The course maintains a relatively level elevation until another slight climb at mile 9. Miles 9 – 12 reflect the topography typical of Leavenworth which sits on the banks of the Missouri River.
